You’ll collate payroll information weekly, so you’ll be dealing with people at all levels to investigate time and attendance reports. You’ll have lead responsibility for processing payroll, on a monthly basis, from start to finish, so you should be comfortable with end-to-end payroll management.

You’ll also be responsible for processing supplier invoices. Although your most important task is payroll, you’ll manage the accounts payable ledger, which will take around 60-70% of your time, so wider finance skills will make you feel comfortable here.
